Show Off all Sides with Rotating Package

The inside clamshell package turns 360° to show off all sides of the product.
AVC Corp., Torrance, CA, is offering a new way to present products at retail. Its secondary package features a three dimensional rotating capsule that is centered within a two dimensional plastic frame. The frame houses a graphic insert card, which can be decorated to taste. The product can be seen from all sides without having to open the package.

The free-moving center clamshell revolves around two plastic half-axles positioned 180° from each other, which allows for the 360° rotation. The packaging is particularly suited  for products with attractive attributes on all sides, such as cosmetics, personal care and fragrance products.

The company said that the patented Rotating Interactive custom packaging was created to catch the consumer’s attention and then draw her into an active purchase/decision making process that involves using motion and touch.

“You can almost see it now — a person picking up the package and spinning the center to check out the product,” said Moshe Begim, president of the company.
